What We Do

Harvest Venture Capital Corp. invests in small start-ups, looking for ways to leverage life experiences, coupled with formal education, and on-the-job training to produce a harvest. Often, these results are not measured in financial terms in the near term. Harvest is, after all, an agricultural term. Every farmer hopes that the seeds they plant will produce a harvest. The reality is that sometimes seeds don’t grow. But other seeds will. And that’s what we’re looking for.

02

Our Approach

Plant seeds. Ask God to bless our work, and allow us to produce a harvest. God promises that seed time and harvest will endure as long as time does. We’re counting on it.

03

Our Mission

Add value where we can, add investment where that’s what is needed. Build a team that learns from the past, implements systems and strategies in the present, with a view to the future.

About

About Our Firm

Harvest Venture Capital Corp. was formed in 2009 to provide support for budding small businesses. Since its founding, it has been a wild ride. There have been many lessons learned, some of them too late to prevent a total loss. That will happen from time to time to even the most seasoned farmer. Most of us stop thinking about failure as a part of the success formula, and we give up.

That’s what sets us apart. We keep planting seeds. We keep learning from our failures. And as a result, we’re able to help businesses find value where others see failure.

Venture & Growth

Small, closely held businesses have significant challenges. Often, their expertise is in what their business does. They’re so busy doing that, other important things are missed. How do we know? We’ve lived it. We’ve got the battle scars. And hopefully we’ve learned enough to begin helping other ventures understand that they need to be in more than one business. For full details you’ll need to reach out to us.

Private Equity

“I know that you reap where you do not sow”

That’s what the person in the parable who hid his money said of the investor, and that’s the reputation of private equity. That’s not really fair, because they simply want to get a return on their investment that goes beyond interest. In fact, I think that’s the point of the investor’s response. What was initially given to the fearful servant, was taken from him, and given to the one who had doubled the most.

The moral of the story is don’t be afraid. Realize that the investor is God, and that if He has entrusted something for you to invest, He’s going to bless your efforts. Go and work confidently.

We’ve been through everything together. Here’s to something great!

Harvest Clouds

Sometimes the investment doesn’t exactly work out as planned. With our technology background it made sense to create a business that did technology. Unfortunately, we didn’t build the right systems, and as a result the vision of Harvest Clouds never materialized. Sometimes, you need to know when to fold down a business, and when it needs a reboot. We are currently in the reboot state with Harvest Clouds
